Strange, this site is doing he same thing! I just checked the thread that I posted in on TVF, and sure enough my post is there! Yet the homepage and main forum page shows no acknowledgement of this. I come back here, and this forum is showing no acknowledgement of my post either, yet when I click on the thread, it is there! Anybody what t do to correct this, as I assume it is my computer with the problem?

Thanks for that James; this is preety random, and is only affecting TVF and MP! Any idea what's wrong? The only new posts I can view (I assume) are my own,and yet they are still not acknowledged (ie by placing the thread at the top of the forum when a new post is made.)

Your post is appearing on the front page here (although it wont be after I post this!).

Try forcing a refresh (ctrl + F5) and see if that helps.

Initially I thought it had worked Gavin, as I pressed the two keys and the new posts suddenly apeared. Yet, anoher 'weird' occurrence; when I go to another page, such as the Newsroom from the front page, I have to force a refresh yet again, and furthermore when I return back to the front page, the refresh has not been maintained, and the posts are all old again (hope that makes sense). This means that I am currently having to refresh every single page I go on. The reason I feel that this is a bit dodgy is because forums further afield that I visit are all fully operational from my computer.

this is quite spooky... somebody called tech support today with just the same problem.

we think it's an upstream proxy caching incorrectly or getting new content from the originating server incorrectly.

we cleared the temporary internet files and deleted the index.dat from the folder from the users' pc and it still happend.

is there anyway you could clear your temporary internet files and use a different dialup isp to see if it's one of the proxies your isp is using which is causing the strange caching? also, try using a different browser completely too, just in case.

Anyone else getting this image problem on TV Forum? Unless this isn't a problem and its just what TV Forum looks like these days...

No, the images arent on photobucket!? They're on asanet? Are you using a real copy of TVForum?

I think he may have that fake copy of the forum Ison was flogging in the layby on the A1 the other day
