Presentation Other Than TV

I think this image best shows how terrible the Morrisons takeover is, presentation wise. The attractive Green, Red and White Safeway Tower, next to the drab, depressing looking Black and Yellow Morrisons Signage isn't a nice image.

My local Safeway did a very half-hearted job of re-branding the store a couple of years ago, leaving a mix of old and new designs throughout both the interior and exterior of the store. However, I'm still dreading the store being Morrisons-ized. The company really does have the worst presentation I've ever seen outside of a tacky Powerpoint presentation.

Morrisons certainly is the worst I've ever seen. I often find their/safeways also don't have all of what I need in them. But the likes of Tesco/Asda always do.

Tesco. I love them.

No-one's mentioned Marks & Sparks little foodhall's which are actually quite good and not that expensive. I shop in the Dundee one which is Tiny but they squeeze everything and everyone into it and the quality of the food is always amazing and the prices aren't that bad, not as cheap as Tesco but not far off.

Our local superdrug just recently changed from the italic text logo and design.

I was gonna put that image up myself Chris - it's horrible!

Nice effort Jay... although coming up with a better logo is hardly difficult.

Although a change of colours is also needed. This is one occasion where you need to go back to the drawing board, rather than update/stylise what you already have.

Our normal sized Asda has recently replaced its cafe with a McDonalds. It's right next to a comprehensive school too, so they must make a fortune!
Is that the McDonalds at the Harlequin roundabout in Newport? When I was there it was packed with kids in school uniform!

What about the very 1980s Kwik Save logo?

I work at Wilkinsons (in Market Harborough, for anyone who wants to come and murder me), and I think despite looking a bit old fashioned, it's good how they've managed to maintain a vaguely consistent brand... although this could just be because (to my knowledge) they havn't changed their logo in like, ever.

Semi-relevant trivia: They actually make a point of putting a price sticker on every single item, to reinforce the brand once it's in customers homes.

Well, as I work at this store, thought I'd share these pics with you.

How nice does this look - and having 'Every Little Helps' sprawled across the front of the store really makes an impact!!

OK, now I look like some sad supermarket junkie, but I've come up with a colourful new look for morrisons.....what do you think?
