I know our local stores have all been rebranded "the co-operative food" using this new logo:

Yup that's the plain textyness version I was thinking of. I know they're trying to be all modern and minimalistic but I find it a bit cold and offputting. Not that it matters much here in Sheffield, the Co-op have made themselves unpopular by planning to shut down the increasingly rare department store. Never been in it cos it looks old and naff, and the bit of town it's in is thriving with smelly people.

Our local stores had a bit of a rebrand about 8 years ago. They seem to be getting rid of the "Plymco" name and just using "Plymouth & South West Co-op". The stores normally have the name of the branch on the front rather than "Supermarket", but using the same font.

Stuart, do you have a Westcountry accent? I just wondered so I can try to replicate your voice within the confines of my head.

No, I don't. I am from Cheshire, so if anything I have what you could imagine as a tempered Mancunian/North West accent. I haven't picked up anything from the westcountry accent since living down here.

No he has a Northern accent of some description. Can't remember where he's from, Stockport or something?

And the Plymouth accent isn't as thick as the Bristol/Somerset accent.

Lol, you have a good sense for accents then Phil. I wouldn't say you have a particularly strong Janner or Westcountry accent either.

While on the bus, yesterday we (me and the others on the bus passengers, drivers etc) went through the town of Droitwitch Spa. And I saw a shop called SPA Express but it had the appearance of a SPAR same font etc. Now im no expert but why would you nick SPAR's branding?
