This reminds me- I have a £10 paper HMV voucher that I was given about 10 years ago as part of some school prize. It doesn't have an expiry date on it but I feel I, and HMV, am living on borrowed time. I have no idea what I woul buy from there. I remember going there many (more) years ago and bought some headphones and felt thoroughly ripped off paying £20 for some shite plastic in ear jobbies that broke after about a month. But I digress....
Use them now and you should be fine - you're right though, they will loose all value in the next week or so.

Some crappy DVD for somebody you have to buy a present for?

It's too late for Comet vouchers, they stopped taking them on Friday.

Fortunately, I don't actually have any vouchers - they will come in the next couple of weeks I imagine.

I've called up Amex who are "investigating a way forward". Interestingly they still advertise bloody comet vouchers on their website!

Their own website states that they're no long being sold, but the lack of a comment regarding existing voucher validity implied to me that they were still valid. Naughty.

I very much doubt given that same statement that Amex will be able to issue Comet vouchers. Are all the other options really not as good?

I suspect the hunt for new buyers is not attracting much real interest.

The Amex cashback page looks like a roll call of doomed businesses. And they're still offering bloody Comet!

Last time I got a gift card it was dusty and scratched so I suspect they have a store room with tons of them.

Boots really is a pile of old rubbish. I spend a total of about £15 a year in there. Every item of food I have bought from them has been a big mistake. The last thing I got was some kind of blueberry nougat bar which could only be described as flavoured plastic.

TOP TIP: The xmas turkey and cranberry sandwich, with the raspberry yoghurt thingy, and the blueberry £2.50 juice.
