Hang on, this sounds familiar...
Sounds like someone might have been inspired by the
strip search phone call scam. There was a film made about it in 2012, called
Compliance, which was quite compelling - if uncomfortable - viewing.

'Customer bullshit' if ever I've heard it lol. Couldn't even be bothered to make the standard claim that he thought a '99' would be 99p, but instead thought it would be 'around £1.50'. I particularly like how their 'shocked' photograph features what are obviously cornettos with a flake shoved into them!

Or possibly the Flake Ice Creams you can get at any supermarket at 4 for £2, or the 88 Ice Cream clones.
