Was it Tracked 24 or 48? Post here is useless with a backlog of around two weeks unless you post parcels.

UK ATMs don't use the magnetic stripe and haven't for quite a while.
In fact, almost nowhere uses the magnetic stripe and they will begin being removed from cards altogether imminently:

Sure, proprietary cards can do whatever they want. They also won't work in ATMs tho.

NatWest are finally giving me a Mastercard debit card after I got a notification on the app saying it's being sent shortly. There's still a few months left on the card to go, but they must be updating them for those of us who got Visa issued in 2022 a little bit earlier.
Usually it's about a month to 6 weeks before expiry before a new card is issued.

Are you sure the new card is Mastercard?
AIUI the Mastercard rollout has been stopped and card renewals are being sent with the same symbol as the expiring one. New customers are receiving a mix of Visa and Mastercard, partially dependent on which sort code they're allocated to.

That's a good point as they didn't.
Natwest's new Debit card page for existing customers has been updated to show both Mastercard and Visa versions.

It's a bit strange that they made such a big deal about changing to Mastercard, only to roll it back again.
I'm half-tempted to 'lose' my Child & Co card to see what shows up, though it would probably just be exactly the same as my existing card.

This may explain why. Natwest and Visa launched a new credit card in 2024.
This launch is the latest in a long-term collaboration between Visa and NatWest Group to offer customers access to Visa’s debit and credit cards to help them manage their spending with greater ease, security, flexibility and control.
