I fall victim to Zero Tolerance Week! Go me!

Satire triumphs again...someone said "this thread can't get any more irrelevant" or something, and I made it more irrelevant.

I'm only banned from "TV Home Forum" though -- I can still carry on being disruptive in the Newsroom, Mocks, Requests, Media Websites fora....and here!*

PS...I've just noticed a flaw in Bail's fascistic demonic plans.

Zero tolerance week starts 28th March....

WEEK

A week is 7 days. His lording over us ended yesterday.

Unban me now or I send the dogs round. (Goes to unlock Nini's kennel in the secret forum. Gee, she looks kinda mad...I've been taunting her, starving her, singing off key...dee doo dah dey...)

Why are people like Alexia and Jonathan being banned from the forum discussing television presentation and channel branding?

Bail, why do you hate freedom?

Get an answer to that question which doesn't say "I don't" at any point or words to that effect and you'll have your reason. Either it's hate of freedom (and Britain, didn't you know?) or trying to make the irrelevant relevant once more though that ship sailed once they started letting any old riff-raff in.

Seems to me the mods there aren't exactly being clear on their intents, putting up this fluff about a "Zero Tolerance Week" when there was next to no disruption at the time. Even a retired mod made the point it was stupid but hey, we made all these graphics and everything so can't waste them can we?

This goes a touch deeper than mere obit threads, I'd like to assume it's all a bit more towards making the mod process a bit more transparent but it's just drawing attention to incompetence and alienating the regulars due to shows of power-drunk muscle flexing, isn't it?

I agree that the transparency of the moderation process is quite good - the updated "Warned/Banned" post serves a purpose.

The week of intolerance is over though, but there hasn't been any sort of conclusion issued about the success/failure or perceived changes in the long-run.

That's because it wasn't a transparency exercise for upper management, it was scaremongering because it could be done, not if it was right. Much like keeping pikes with people's heads on or having a bunch of wanted posters out front, this is saying "See these people? These people didn't play by the rules, now they're banned and you don't want to end up like these people!"

If it's still going on in Bail's mind and he's sticking to his "Banned or be dammed" (can you say Catch 22?) mantra after the issue then we're all a bit fucked, aren't we? Expecting him to come back and say "Oh, that was a complete waste, we'll just keep the status quo as that's been going alright for the last few years." is pretty unlikely.

And the shit-for-brain twerp who started the thread in the first place didn't get so much as a warning.

Sorry Mr Bailey, but you really are keeping up TV Forum's reputation for inequality of soderation.
