I've never thought of noggin as arrogant at all. He tends to slap people down when they are talking absolute bullshit, but there's nothing wrong with that since he obviously has a lot of knowledge on his chosen subject.

Agreed - that Moz is quite annoying as well, prancing around the Newsroom moaning about the lighting on the BBC bulletins, and why such and such can't be done, when there's a perfectly valid reason - which are usually explained by noggin.

Yes, well 'the eye' has never been particularly tactful (nor his comments especially useful for that matter). He's a kid with a big ego problem who doesn't have any concept of how mature adults should interact or behave. I'm aware that he's been banned from other websites, and while I generally prefer not to comment on how other webmasters choose to run things, I don't mind saying that I'd be happy to see TVF do the same. He's rude, arrogant and a troublemaker, and the less we see or hear from him, the better.

a. You don't know me
b. I was banned because the forum your on about was run by people with a whoreish obsession with censorship.
c. Me, ego? far from it. If anyone has an ego its you, we just need to look at your website for that.
d. I'm not a kid.
e. Unfortunately I've been reading this site for many years so if you thought I would never see this than your wrong.

I only said noggin was being arrogant because the past few days his posts give the impression that people that don't know tech info don't know anything, and that he acted as if he was the only one that knew anything.

I find it intensely amusing that you claim to have little-to-no ego; yet, in your own words as a long-term reader of Metropol have only now found it necessary to comment because you were mentioned?

Oh...and having a well-run and maintained website such as Nick's is hardly a sign of arrogance Eye. Shades of website envy, perhaps?

PS... Your = possessive; You're = you are.

Since when was there an apostrophe in learnt? Silly boy. Piss off now, I've just come in from a particularly boring nightshift and would like to get some shut-eye.

the eye, I'm not interested in engaging in a public slanging match with you. I respect that you've taken the time to express your point of view here, and I'm not the least bit concerned that you've read what I've had to say. I stand by my comments entirely, and I would simply characterise your reference to noggin being arrogant as a case of hypocrisy in the extreme. I've frankly found noggin's explanations to be refreshingly informative, and have detected nothing in his comments but a genuine willingness to help others understand how television works. To label somebody like that arrogant is, to my mind, deeply unfortunate and regrettable. I'm only relieved that noggin didn't take serious offence from it, and that he's chosen to continue contributing to TVF.

Do things like that upset you so easily?

For the last time, I only called him arrogant for some of his latest posts that bugged me...
A lot of people wouldn't notice if stuff was shot on miniDV and S-VHS - that isn't a reason not to strive to deliver the highest quality you can.

A lot of people can't hear the difference between stereo or mono - should we make everything with mono sound?

Can I, for yet another time, remind people that Sky News, News 24 and World DON'T COME FROM STUDIOS...
There is one big post I won't bother quoting but basically he came across as a tad rude. I've always found noggins posts to be highly informative and interesting, I have nothing against him personally but I was just irritated by those certain posts.

Arrogant probably wasn't the best word but why are you wasting your time getting your knickers in a twist? Don't bother answering because my care factor is zero.
