The above (petes comment) is exactly what this is for, but its unfair to do it without applying the rule to everyone and I'd rather you told me asian83739 is an idiot so I can do something about it than go off topic and say so in a thread. Seeing barcode reply to every thread with a question annoys me just as much as it does you. I don't read every thread infact I've never read the rota thread so unless people tell me i don't know whats going on. I suspect and hope that I have to take no action at all but I want all mebers to know whats going on. Oh and I've never said banter isn't permited. I'm mostly on the same side as you guys but sometimes I need to be heavy handed to get the message accross.

Why isn't the announcement stickied in all the forums (or at least those that are the problem ones!)

Also if most of the problems come from the mocks and requests forums, then why not split them off and get some others to run them similar to this place! (and no i'm not interested) very rarely do I visit either as they are pointless in most cases!

The problem people have with the rota threads is when they become full of "RIP CAROL BARNES, A GREAT LOSS TO TELEVISION" from weirdos who never post anywhere else.

We've always had obit threads for TV deaths, I have no trouble with the concept of them, but at the moment they were becoming as tiresome as the rota threads. Even rotas aren't boring as such, if the BBC decided to put Huw on Breakfast and have Lizo do the ten, then yay, lets talk about it, but its the tiresome cataloguing of presenters that clogs up the forum that gets annoying and gets people pissed off.

The Lounge was a very different type of "problem" than mocks and requests.

What annoys me:
- Fantasy rotas;
- Presenter logging;
- Dull 'obituaries' along the lines of 'RIP Carol, you were a good newsreader :( ';
- 'I'd like to see you try' attitudes in the mocks forum - after all, you don't need to have made a mock to provide your opinion;
- Obviously crap mocks, no need for detail I think;
- People who can't write because they can't be bothered - barcode, looknorth et al.

And I do agree with Hyma, believe it or not.

However I think that without people like Tumble Tower, who I was really talking about, the forum would be much less interesting. He and others don't annoy me so much, though my posts may give the impression that they do. These people are better dealt with by members themselves rather than mods IMO.

Although I do remember 'The Lounge' I didn't visit much before it became Metropol. What was the 'problem' that resulted in it being given autonomous status under different admin and mods?

Bail says: Aside from what is posted, I’d also like to see an improvement in how it is posted. Spell checking is incredibly easy in this day and age. Whilst not a requirement of the forum, using “txt” speak or being generally unintelligible makes it hard for others to read, and can insight unnecessary frustration. Therefore people with unintelligible posts may also be warned. If in doubt, or you have trouble, open up a word processor and spell-check your post before hitting the submit button.

I think Bail meant 'incite'.

I am not taking the risk - I won't be posting on TVF next week.

I can't take the risk of posting next week as I'll be collared at some point.

I note that there is now a discussion in this "Zero Tolerance" thread on TV Forum about me having an outstanding warning, yet the the thread has now been locked, making me unable to defend myself.

I wish to make it completely clear that my last warning was on Monday 28th January and remind everyone that warnings on TV Forum automatically expire after 30 days, SO THERE IS NOTHING OUTSTANDING AGAINST ME AS AT TODAY.

An apology from the staff of TV Forum would be both welcome and unexpected.

I sort of agree with Bail in away. I mean i know its good that the older members (in terms of being there long) help weed out the trolls and co, but mods are there to sort that thing out. I was always thought you don't feed a troll, although a large majority of people can't help themselves in replying.

It's Asa's forum, although if him and the mods have a problem with how members have been, maybe they should have more mods. I know this is not real life so to speak, but the way some members treat others on both forums, wether deserved or not is totally hideous. If some of you, not naming any names spoke to people in a cafe like that you'd either have your cuppa in your face, or a smack around the chops.

The internet has paved way for people to act how they want, thinking they can do what the hell they like. If people are not happy, then start your own forum, where people can join forces and literally kill any weeds that grow back through.

I know about 99% of people on both forums don't like me. I don't care, i've got friends in the real world who i treat with respect and treat me with the same. Members on here are often enticed to bully other members, simply as they maybe trolls, or they dont have the same intelligence as others, this is simply sad. People on here are made to feel like they have to suck up in order to join special clique.

I've been guilty of trying to provoke members, being a troll etc. But as i've grown up i realise that there is more to life. People need to remember rules are there for a reason. So maybe it has to work both ways, members start behaving themselves, and the mods start doing there jobs a bit better in getting rid of the people who just cause trouble and flood the forums with rubbish.

I await either a ban, killing, or yet another bitchy "look at me im intelligent twit" comment.

Funny.

The vibes were making me expect a reply, somewhere about here, but nothing seems to have appeared.
