I'll nip along to Long Eaton and report in when I can. It's already one of the nicer Asdas around here, and we often pop in to the Company Shop in town too.
Yeah that's what it's like, mind there's been problems in stores in the North East where there's been none at all. Tesco at Sunderland even got into the local rag about it - https://www.sunderlandecho.com/news/peo ... ed-4383280.Andrew wrote: Tue 28 May, 2024 21.35 My local Sainsburys is like that where there is always a trolley available but only just, they’ll be never no more than about a dozen in the trolley park outside
Either there is a shortage or they’ve sacked the trolley collectors and they are all up the far end of the car park
They all seem absolutely knackered as well. 50% of the time I get one that makes so much noise you can hear me three aisles away
Maybe since they’ve stopped locking them all together since COVID, people are stealing them
Yeah it seems very specific which stores got them, I know Byker and Jarrow are two of them.bilky asko wrote: Mon 10 Jun, 2024 10.14 Morrisons have introduced some smaller plastic trollies and wheeled baskets at all stores I believe, alongside the child trollies. They don't seem to have reduced the number of metal trollies at my local Morrisons in response, however.
My question is, whatever happened to those lifesize cows and chickens that they used to have...thegeek wrote: Sun 26 May, 2024 18.17 the new Asda design made me wonder what happened to the old "Permanently Low Prices Forever" stones that used to sit by the entrances, and it appears I'm not the only person to have thought that. Forgive me for bringing up a 14 year old post, but sometimes, I do like to look back on the discussions that happened when young Blu was still a mop top wearing 13 YO. Turns out soon was 13 years later.xwing123456 wrote: Wed 15 Sep, 2010 21.25I can see a full merger arriving soon...Mattarz wrote:So as predicted, most Currys stores are now absorbing PC World and taking on a very simple but nice brand. Not really. The last standalone branches closed in 2018ish, the bulk of them had already rebranded some years before. The 'combined' stores were not 2 shops in one, they were just Currys with a slightly bigger computer department than the one Currys already had.Blewatter wrote: Mon 17 Jun, 2024 21.32Forgive me for bringing up a 14 year old post, but sometimes, I do like to look back on the discussions that happened when young Blu was still a mop top wearing 13 YO.
