I'll nip along to Long Eaton and report in when I can. It's already one of the nicer Asdas around here, and we often pop in to the Company Shop in town too.

Yeah that's what it's like, mind there's been problems in stores in the North East where there's been none at all. Tesco at Sunderland even got into the local rag about it - https://www.sunderlandecho.com/news/peo ... ed-4383280.

I've heard (not sure if true) that it's been scrappies who are taking them, just coming along at night and taking the trolleys away on the back of a truck and it's why Morrison's now have plastic trolleys at some stores. Certainly seems plausable though. Probably didn't help since they got away with having trolley bays under a shutter since they're now a Timpsons, a garden centre, an abandoned cafe bar or whatever other idea they have this week.

Morrisons have introduced some smaller plastic trollies and wheeled baskets at all stores I believe, alongside the child trollies. They don't seem to have reduced the number of metal trollies at my local Morrisons in response, however.

Yeah it seems very specific which stores got them, I know Byker and Jarrow are two of them.

Not trying to be mean, but neither of those stores are exactly the most affluent of places either.

Island FM's new logo looks like they've used the old Jobcentre font from the 80s.

Not really. The last standalone branches closed in 2018ish, the bulk of them had already rebranded some years before. The 'combined' stores were not 2 shops in one, they were just Currys with a slightly bigger computer department than the one Currys already had.

If you go by fascia alone Lloyds TSB were never "fully merged".

Hi, it's been a while. On the subject of Lloyds Bank, I noticed on a newspaper ad a different logo a few weeks ago. It's also appearing on some of their posters. Oddly there are no articles about this.

I really like it. It's not really noticeable at first. Subtle. The font is classic (slight serif) and the horse is now forward facing. Also, the green is brighter. Looks really smart.

Poor horse.
