Dear Customer,
With regards to your recent order for the HTC Desire.
We can confirm you should look to receive your order before the end of this week. Due to the recent air freight restrictions this has caused a delay in stock arriving into the UK.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Kind regards
Vodafone Online Store

This should interest some of you Desire users, Google have enabled their free navigation software in the UK. Works on all Android phones that are 1.6+
EDIT: Oh and the article's wrong, it does work on the Vodafone Magic (which is a 1.6 device)

Don't forget that if you are getting this phone (or any other) on contract with vodafone, there is a potential £150 waiting for you at quidco!

Here. I only mention it because I forgot (as I often do) to go through them for my £20 cashback with tmobile. Always worth a check when you're updating insurance too.

Sorry I'm being dense, but huh?
Can I go through them now I've placed an order with Voda?
And what exactly is it they give me £150 for?

Unfortunately not, you have to go through them before you place the order - which is why I also missed my cashback.
They operate on referal fees, so because they have directed somebody to vodafone (in this case) and that has resulted in a sale, vodafone pay £150 commission to quidco.
Quidco then pay you the entire amount, taking £5 of your earnings per year (if you haven't taken any earnings, they don't charge you). There are lots of companies on the quidco site, most offer tiny amounts per purchase, but there are also quite a few companies that offer decent sized cashback sums. I recieved £87 from them last year. The only downside is you have to wait for a while for monies to be moved into your account, but I believe this is due to the tardy nature of referal payments rather than quidco holding back payments.
I think there is a firefox addon that will notify you of potential cashback windfalls.

Yes, I got £150 for signing up with virgin media, all I had to do was sign up to the quidco site, click the link to the virgin media website that's on Quidco (which contains a referral code) and sign up as normal via the Virgin site. Took ages to get the money though. There's little to lose if you're definitely going to sign up online, it either works and you get free money, or it doesn't and you get what you paid for anyway.

HTC Desire owners may like
this website which tells you how to get the best bits of the Nexus One on your Desire - namely the Voice to Text software, and the lovely gallery feature. There are others too but voice to text is pretty amazing.
Also stuff on live wallpapers etc on that blog.
