Whilst I respect the fact you are entitled to your own views, but please can you explain to class how on earth the concept of some poor person (could be male or female) getting frightened out of the life shagged by some git for God knows how long, and in the case of the tshirt by 9 people all on this one person, not only that but then a lifetime of not only looking over their shoulders when they go out but possibly never being able to trust anyone enough to make love to them. Tell me which part of what I said is "FUNNY"

That was the longest sentence I've ever read.
Don't be too offended by the replies to your opening question. The slogan at least raised a snigger in my office (full of men, of course), but we all agreed that its not something we would wear out.

I like that kind of challenge!
I may, or may not, respond in April's edition of Comment.

Long? Not at all! Now the Germans - they really know how to put together a long sentence.

I love the Germans. I had some chocolate from Germany today and I swear to Nick the slogan, when translated, was: "Square. Practical. Good"

Ohhhh.
I misunderstood the nature of this thread. I didn't realise Fork was offended by the T shirt.

OK, so maybe not the best example there of how long German sentences can be, although it does speak volumes for their efficiency... and the quality of their chocolate. Mmmm.

German is an extremely satisfying language, lots of great words like 'doof' for stupid and 'kaput' for gone.
As much as I liked it, I stopped learning it years ago since the toxic combination of grammar and a strange teacher made it a lot less fun.

Grammar is one of the things I enjoy most about German. I love the structure of it all.
