I don't call it "bullying." I call it "alternative welcoming."
Ambidexterous. Put the postbit in the middle.

There IS a new design coming, that's why I'm busy coding the templates for it and while i'm doing it i thought i'd ask about quite an important design feature of the skin. Believe it or not there's a password protected clone of metropol sitting in a directory just under this one which has bits and piece of the skin working, and other bits just aren't. It is coming though, and soon.
I'm all giddy with excitement. Is there pink innit?
There's got to be BBC 3 pink innit if there aint i'll loosen Ninis muzzle.

That may be fab for a Firefox support forum, where all that matters is how to fix a broken toolbar, but for Metropol? A forum based around personalities?
Point taken - maybe it's just my political inclination that leads me to support things on the right then?

ROFL!
Once upon a time it would have been me to put people in their place. I love Hyma - purely for his arrogance. I bet he's timid and introvert in person, though!

It's fine as it is. The username is presented on the left as well as on the right, so I don't particularly buy into the ignore lists and whatnot reason. Content is still key even in this forum of personalities, because if said personalities were to stop producing said content then it wouldn't make a toss where the userbox was as nobody would be reading anyway.

I don't know whether it's the case or just the feeling I get; but Metropol seems to have had its day. As has TV Forum.
Maybe it's to do with people growing up, moving on and generally not giving a toss about television. I can honestly say that I haven't sat down and watched TV for several months. Anything I do watch is either on YouTube or the BBC's I-Player. The latter only occasionally.
Perhaps one day, maybe even this summer, we should organise a Metropol Meet. It would be a very interesting experience to meet other forum members in person. I suspect I'll be meeting Mr Harvey before the year is out anyway.

Left, I dress to the left. Not that you can tell from my avatar.
Sorry, I've been away from internets for a bit, what's this all about again? *cough*

What do you base that feeling on?

Metropol isn't about discussing television though.

I'm left-leaning, but I like it on the right hand side. Once you've seen one avatar, you've seen them all, and there's only a few people on here who do have an avatar. The name of the poster is above the post anyway, so knowing who said it isn't a problem.
I also think having it on the right distinguishes / is distinctive from other fora like DS or even TVF, so I think it being there serves some sort of symbolic purpose, however minimal. It looks kinda modern.

If jamez gets bored of something the WHOLE WORLD feels the same way, didn't you get the memo?

Exactly! It's about discussing the people discussing television!
