Talking of bank notes, does anyone else think the new £20 is really nice? It's a really nice, smart looking bank note.

I guess the Bank of England will get round to making the other notes the same design soon. Although, there wouldn't be much point if the Queen dies - they'll have to re-issue all the notes and coins with Charles's face on them!
They haven't yet brought the £50 into the same design as the £5 and £10 notes. And after how long it took to do the new fivers (remember that the new design came out, but was quickly scrapped in favour of the old design for another year until the security issues could be settled), I wouldn't expect the rest to change quite so soon.
Coins, cars, mobile phones.
What I find funny about cars, is that they keep getting bigger within their class, so the manufacturers constantly re-invent another class of car to be 'small car' sized. It's amazing to consider that the Austin Metro of 1980 belongs to the same 'supermini' class as a 2007 Ford Fiesta which is practically twice the size.

The decreasing size of banknotes is to try and cover up inflation - to make you feel as though your money is worth less.
