The castle DOES still exist. It's just that it's now in private ownership and, therefore, not open to the public.

There's also a reference to an "Eating Place" which, I think, should be "Market Place".

Then there's a picture of the twenty-nine locks on the canal, saying there are only sixteen.

I gave up at that point.
Have u bothered to correct it.

That's the point after all

Actually don't bother. the castle it was referring to was the medieval one destroyed in 1645, not the 19th century replacement you were referring to, and the locks in the picture are indeed the flight of 16 in a straight line. The text mentions there are 29 in all.

Maybe you should read Wikipedia more, you could learn a lot.

Here is where I lived till I was 7, all 5 of us in a 1 bedroom flat! (dark days)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Market_Estate

Then we moved further down Caledonian Road between:

and
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caledonian ... ry_station

In a 3 bedroom maisonette.

Within the next 5 years, we hope to be moving somewhere near dorset, (house prices a consideration)

Oh no!

Wiltshire's somewhere near Dorset.

Thanks for the advance warning though.

Anyone know the name of a good estate agent on the Shetlands?
