Don't diss the real God, miss h. Nick will smite you pretty badly if that's the case!miss hellfire wrote:They are clever little bastards, which is why those with the brains do the plotting and the brainwashed sods go and blow themselves and others to smithereens for a false idol. GOD!

Well, they're not really doing very much blowing themselves up at the moment.
Given that there are allegedly all these nutcases intent on doing this through some misguided religious and geopolitical cause, they're not that motivated or commited.
Therefore, it is reasonable to suggest that fear of Islamic terrorism is being exploited for political purposes and the real danger from it in no way accurately reflects the true situation.
The turning off of funding from NORAID and the Libyans was only a part of the IRA's funding. Most of it came from organised crime north and south of the border.miss hellfire wrote:They are here and this is going to on for years and years to come yet. One of the reasons the IRA are no longer an active terrorist group is because america has ceased funding them. Bin Laden masterinded a plot that has left his followers and sympathisers in awe of him. Why go blow yourself up and go out with a whimper when you can go out with a bang. It's all about the next big job.
Also, the current IRA ceasefire took place in 1997 and has been pretty much total since then. The "War on Terror" started in 2001, well after this period.
Unfortunately, your assertion about American funding bringing an end to the bombing period of the IRA is not supported by the facts.
I don't really understand what you are trying to say with the rest of it either.
Most suicide bombings are for quite small targets. Since they first came about in the 80s (in Sri Lanka if memory serves), they rarely kill more than 5 people at a time.miss hellfire wrote:An easier way to explain myself would be this... If i had a chance to do an armed robbery. The risks involved are huge. I wouldn't go and do some shitty post office job, i'd go for the biggie. That's how i think these suicide bombers are thinking.

I understand what you are trying to say with your analogy, however.
