MSN Messenger 7.0 Released
But it's not just music it shows you what's being played. It's anything that goes through media player so just be careful if your the type who plays certain video files as you might get a few contacts sending you a few messages lol

You can get the old version of MSN from http://www.oldversion.comPurpleduck wrote:Does anyone know a way of reverting to version 6.0? I hate the new version![]()

Thanks for those. I shall revert back to the old version ASAP.

Alternatively, there's also AMSN Messenger, which is a simplified MSN Messenger "clone" that works on all the major OSes,
including Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, most of the current popular Linux distributions. And even on FreeBSD!
If you're using some distribution of Linux, you'll most probably likely find it easier to use the v0.9.4-3 Linux installer build,
rather than any of the ones that are specific to the Linux distro you're using, but "your mileage may vary", so to speak.
Eitherway, AMSN Messenger is open source and totally cross platform. So, even if Microsoft's legal vultures attempt to
issue a "cease and desist" order, or any other type of legal action against the AMSN Messenger project, the source
code is out there to allow just about anyone who can, to resume the project under another name!

BBC News - BBC News 24 Countdown 2005....
"He has to be larger than bacon"
Reminds me of a time when one evening, there was a few people online on my MSN not chatting to me, I couldn't be bothered starting a convo so I put some random tracks on through Windows Media Player which links itself to MSN7, up pops a BBC News theme and then from nowhere, I get one of my workmates say "you sad man"
How could I get out of this situation. I told him that somebody burned some music tracks for on a CD and renamed them ficitious names just to be an arse. Funnily enough it worked and to this day, he hasn't mentioned a thing at work.
