But whose left wing anymore ? The Lib Dems are now the lefty's with Tory Tony occupying the centre ground. Socialism is long dead, we hear its death throes from the likes of Tony Benn every now and again, even Red Ken's been tamed in favour of his ivory towers in the capital.

But it comes to something when the Labour Party had to practically drop everything they stood for to get elected.

Meanwhile, the Tories are being squeezed out of existance, with Labour occupying the centre ground, UKIP to their extreme right, just where are they going to go.

Im not fully english, and judging by the majority of people I meet... glad not to be...

And with regards to tony blair being welsh, again shouldnt be running the country on the basis of his nationality. etc, etc, etc

It may sound narrow, but I think my point is still pretty obvious...

no it really isn't. By your argument nobody should run the country whatsoever as there is nobody who can truly be "British".

A former Labour MP (when they were proper left wing) and now at the extreme right of the Tories.
Not really. The extreme left and the extreme right share a lot of policy's.

Hatred of Europeans, love of totalitarian governments, seeing the BBC as the enemy

And also by that argument, had John Redwood been successful in his attempt to take over as party leader from John Major back in 1995 then he wouldn't have been able to... Don't they call him Klingon for some reason?

an arse I may be but you don't have to be very smart to realise I'm right.

So what do you propose happen with Scotland, Wales and NI then? Why not only allow people from London to work at Westminster?

I'm sorry I can't see the logic in your argument unless you're just attempting to be 'ard by tryin' to have a BNP viewpoint which I presume you're not.

Don't get me started on that...
Why not only allow people from London to work at Westminster?
Your pulling what im saying out of context, and im now saying alot so i dont know how you manage to do that... I say that if your are born in England, you can work in office... whether or not thats the right terminology..

Naw, I barely know what each party stands for. I actually don't pay alot of attention because atm it really doesnt interest me. I'd actually like to know what the Lib Dems plan to do, judging by one and two things ive been told, i wouldnt want them running the country...

Actually I'd like to get you started on Scotland, Wales + NI. It's not as if we're short of time on here.

Mr Cheese, if it "really doesnt interest [you]" would you mind keeping your sparodic ejaculations to yourself, and at least briefly *glancing* at those British history books of yours. That is of course if you're not too busy making sweeping political statements / opinions
