Yes, as far as I know the A2 one has to be done in a foreign language. You basically get a loads of newspaper articles in the language you have chosen, and they are just multiple choice answers in English. It's not too bad. I thought I'd be awful at it, but I came out with a B having given up French two years ago.

I cleverly opted not to take General Studies, after being shown a paper my sister was given for her GS exam in 1993.
It featured questions on lobster populations in the North Sea.
