I joined a syndicate at work this week, for the first time since the big win I mentioned earlier in the thread. There's about 12 in it, I think. Only plays the Saturday game, and it was done in time for this weeks rollover.
A packs of cigarettes a month is the equivelant cost. I realise that is an abstract way to measure money, but I'm trying to give up and it helps.
Have you ever won anything on the Lottery?

Indeed. I'm in favour of rebranding it "cash cow", as that's all it is.As above, one number.
By the way, can anybody explain "Lotto Extra" to me? You re-enter the same numbers for a chance to win less money, it costs the same as the normal "Lotto" but you don't get anything unless you have all six numbers, not even if you get three, four or five.
Completely pointless then?
Oh blimey - I haven't checked my ticket yet!! Aston Martin DB9 for me and a few tornado chasers holidays if I've got all six numbers!

I have won a grand total of a massive £2. Interestingly, they were two wins of £1 on concurrent scratchcards.

Enough about scratch cards I'd scratch that nasty scab of your goofy face!Jamez wrote:Back in 1995, My mum got 4 numbers and the bonus, and thought she'd won about £10,000. She was dancing round the house until she phoned the national lottery claimline, and she ended up with just £74.00!
I occasionally buy a scratchcard, and have won my quid back a couple of times. I won a tenner about three years ago on the main Lottery draw.
Has anyone here won anything on the lottery, or know someone who has?
