Given they're also allowing shared access to branches now, and Halifax seem to have stopped advertising, I wonder if we'll gradually see these brands (and perhaps MBNA) unified under Lloyds?

That's certainly going to be more closures of physical banks where TSB and Santander have branches in the same towns. TSB will certainly go in Peckham anyway as the shopping area where the bank is situated is being demolished to have the return of the square in front of Peckham Rye station which had a shopping arcade built in the 1930s over it.

If they rebrand that'll probably be the point I close the TSB account I've had since I was 5 :'(

Recounting the sad state of her local High Street, my mum told me last week that it's "even worse now the Trustee Savings Bank has left town too".

Took me a while to realise that's what TSB originally stood for.

presumably it went through a Lloyds TSB phase somewhere in the middle, unless you're actually 17.

I hold onto it for sentimental reasons but its not my day to day account.
