On the plus side, I'm not buying a snack and just going for a wrap and apple juice, the latter is only 50p!

Tesco's meal deal is a joke. It's utterly confusing as to what's in it and what's not. Same with M&S. Either go all in like Boots / Morrisons or just don't bother and make stuff cheaper.

The price of 500ml bottles of coke is preposterous, often to make the meal deal seem cheaper.

At least they've stopped stocking both 330ml and 500ml bottles, or 500ml and 600ml bottles of Pepsi Max, where only one would be on the deal.

Huh, I've always thought it was pretty easy to tell what was in Tesco's meal deal - whatever has a yellow label

Sushi tasters have a yellow label.

They're on 2 for £2.

Not in the meal deal.

Lucozade wasn't on the meal deal, it was on a 2 for £1.50.

Cadbury's chocolate wasn't on the meal deal. It was on 3 for £1.20

Those Tesco yellow labels haven't always been correct, I've tried buying the 600ml Glaceau SmartWater bottle which to this day has a meal deal sticker, but has never been part of the meal deal.

However Tesco have finally added the smaller own brand orange and apple juice bottles to them.

Wonder if the double the difference refund would come into play here.

My local Sainsbury's according to a staff member is the final store in London to have their self-checkouts updated to a new NCR model.

There are two types of checkout, a basket only terminal and longer ones designed for small trolleys. Sainsbury's have been generous with the space with eight wide checkouts for trolleys.

Does that still exist? I've struggled to find the official Tesco misprice policy anywhere.

It is printed on a big sign next to the Customer Service desk in my local Tesco.

In addition to being on the sign at the customer service desk it can also be found in their In-store FAQs - http://www.tesco.com/help/in-store-faq/
