Strange. I wanted to vote Lib Dem. Wasn't much of a margin though.

Labour -18
Conservative -21
Liberal Democrat 56
UK Independence Party 14
Green 30

I will be voting Labour, unless it looks like the Lib Dems will get into power or at the least, opposition.

As long as the Conservatives don't get into office.

Why do you hate the conservatives so much?

Is it because they plan to put a tax on junk food?

I think it's important to look locally as well. Certainly where I live, any Labour supporter would be better off voting Liberal Democrat to get rid of the Conservatives. A vote for Labour is a waste, and helps the Tories.

I really don't understand this attitude. How the hell will they get into a position of greater power if people like don't vote for them? Why do you feel you have to vote for a successful party if there is another one that better represents your views?

Look, i'm down from 18 stone to 15 1/2, and I dont eat junk food, so there's no need for comments like that.

I think it's important to look locally as well. Certainly where I live, any Labour supporter would be better off voting Liberal Democrat to get rid of the Conservatives. A vote for Labour is a waste, and helps the Tories.

I do not agree with the Conservative Ideals. Not only do they have a record for doing the wrong things, but they don't have any policies I can empathise with, except perhaps immigration, but that doesn't directly effect me.

I am in a Lib Dem run council, I don't see much improvement though. They tell me its due to the government making things harder for them. Maybe its true, and if they were in government, things may be better, but if they don't have much chance of rising to office, or opposition, the only strong party which could stop the Conservatives is Labour, so voting for them is voting against the Tories.

Totally fails to take into consideration which of the issues is most important to you.

For instance, I'll bet if it said 'do you believe in mandatory life sentences for murder?' most people would say 'yes absolutely'. Liberal Democrats say 'no way'.

Most people vote on one particular issue, not a whole host of ideas and policies.

Having a look the questions again, some of them seem to be loaded. For example it's very easy to make someone put a mark in the "Strongly Agree" box by using the right wording. The actual best way to get an accurate result from a website like this is to ask a question about one issue 3 times but with different wording...it can then note the consistency more than just one version of the question.

But I agree with cat - you'd never vote for a party for all its policies - most likely one issue you feel very strongly about would sway the voting.

I've just done it and it appears the best party for me to vote for will be the Liberal Democrats - quite a surprise to me actually as I never even really thought about voting for them before.



For me now it's between Labour and the Lib Dems....
