Dermot O'Leary and his speech impediment telling me that Argos has "inflashtliun" beating deals.

The T-mobile advert. "But I wanna talk". Yeah, well fuck off and do it on someone else's time.

The AWFUL models for M&S including Lily Cole and her white pasty face, Myleene and her horrid self-satisfied smirk and that girl who keeps getting her kit off. YES we get the point, but if you're not going to show me the tits then piss off and stop bothering me (I don't like M&S at the moment because THEIR sale is advertised, but people forget about our Never Knowingly Undersold...)

Nice 'n' Easy. Those shoes don't go with that outfit and her hair really looks shite.

RED. "You can change your career and *cheesy pause* change your LIFE".

I'll think of more.

I'm not sure about the odd looking Cole, but you have to love Twiggy, Mylene, Erin O'Conner and NoƩmie Lenoir (the one with the baps on show).

Sadly the 16mm cinefilm-esque Christmas ad doesn't really work for me like last year's M&S extravaganza. It all looks a bit forced and obvious, despite the lovely boys from Take That joining in.

Have you noticed that the awful west country boy in the Rice Krispies ad is also in the "jellified stock" commercials with Marco P White? He's awful.

What do people think of this years JL campaign?

It grates on me a bit because I'm on gifts, just across from a bank of TVs which have the advert on a loop.

"with love from me, to you..."

I love that baby and mouse at the end.

Makes me smile.

Who is the irritating git who does the voiceover on the Co-Op ads? He sounds like he's been chosen to fit a focus group profile of a warm trustworthy voice... which is exactly why he annoys me.

Ugh. I can't stand it. For the same reasons I couldn't stomach this advert, or this one either for that matter.

The advert is sickeningly winsome and pretentious. John Lewis want you to think they're doing you a favour, when all they really want to do is flog you one of their arty-farty, heinously expensive, 'look at me aren't I clever' upside down Christmas trees.

Sorry, but any advert that tries to sell its viewer an over-the-top squeaky clean and frankly boring lifestyle like that sets my teeth right on edge.

Right but neither of the other ads have much in connection with the John Lewis one. I'll take John Lewis over Argos any day to be fair.

They are clever. I've ordered one in black for the room with fancy-ass chairs.

Although I'm not in the slightest bit religious when it comes to the festive season, doesn't an upside-down black christmas tree have vaguely satanic connotations similar perhaps to displaying an upside-down cross? :o

I understand Christmas may be just a pagan ritual adopted by christianity to make it popular and to coincide with an existing festival; but surely potentially satantic symbolism may not be good for your business (uncomfy chairs notwithstanding)
