My mates (who really have no idea what Metropol is) LOVE these pictures.
Its bitterly cold in Edinburgh - the water of Leith has largely iced over, and as I sit looking at it there's a bunch of cold looking quacky ducks staring at my office in the hope that I'll give them some bread.
Alright I will then.
Really wanted to get back to walking to and from the office every day, but wouldn't risk it after falling really badly at new year. Cut my hands and whacked my head off the ground. My shoes seem to have grip for the first 10 minutes, then the snow packs into the tread and becomes like a non-stick coating.
"Remote working" sounds quite appealing right now.

I had a horrible drive to work this morning, woke up to about 2 inches of snow which wouldn't have been a problem except it was solidly compacted into ice on the roads. Rear wheel drive cars were reversing down the big hill into Belfast as they couldn't get to the top. Did a sideways manoever round a roundabout. Got into Belfast itself and the roads are clear and there's no snow and people don't believe me when I explain what it's like outside the city...
