Fresh ideas to help bring city to life
While having lunch recently with family members we got talking about the regeneration of Dundee and what can be done to bring more jobs and tourism to the city.
We came up with a few ideas that our city fathers may find interesting.
Here are some of them —
- a bowling alley with a fairground / slot machine area;
- tours of the old city under Dundee; [this doesn't exist]
- a sea life centre;
- a Madam [sic] Tussauds, as the city has so many famous people past and present;
- a millennium wheel;
- a Dundee dungeon focusing on the city’s violent past;
- an eatery at the redeveloping Stack Leisure Park; [for reference: this is the stack leisure park. its two previous eateries closed 20 years ago and its bowling alley five years ago. the "redevelopment" is that home bargains has opened in the old bowling alley.]
- moving HMS Unicorn, to be berthed alongside the Discovery.
We know all this will no doubt be seen as fanciful but we had to have our say! M. Anderson.
