Is the Scottish Express even worse than the Mail?

Charity knitting group fundraiser, 81, banned from selling £1 doll because 'GB 2012' logo breaches Olympic copyright laws
I know I'm late to report this one but the vitriolic tone was brilliant. Never mind that you wouldn't dream of doing it with any other logo.
She decided to check with trading standards officers about the tiny GB 2012 and Olympic rings she had embroidered on the T-shirt. To her shock...
Perhaps not to her complete shock. She did "decide to check", after all.

It turns out that Joy Tompkins is a bit of a Tabloid Tart. Last year she got herself in the rags for tattoing "do not recussitate" on her chest. A greater cynic than me might suggest that both her actions were cheap ploys to get into the paper.

In any case the previous article rather belies the "caring gran confused by system" tone of the more recent one..

She should really do the world a favour and top herself, the batty crone.

Rather peturbed about the Mail's overzealous coverage of the death of the Tetra Pak woman.

"Why did no-one help them?" it wails.

Why indeed, did no-one help the millionaire druggies whose lifestyle afforded them visits to private dentists in Chelsea?

I'm assuming they're more deserving of help than druggies on sink estates then because her family gave us something to store our orange juice in?

Wonderful grocers' apostrophe error:

"Team GB off to winning start with victory in women's football clash with New Zealand but North Korean’s refuse to start match in dispute over flag"

Shall we discuss the front page of The Sun today?

They may as well have put "blonde with big tits murdered by freak with no legs" which could possibly have been slightly classier.

Mail also have a full page of gratuitous shots on an inside page.

Maybe shots isn't the word to use...

What is Lizzie Cundy's obsession with disrespecting personal space?

She gets a little too close to chatroom favourite Angie Rippon for my liking

Good Lord!

An interesting statistic : I've been reading around the various Anglocentric newspaper website reactions to the Six Nations showdown yesterday, and noticed some telling comment numbers on each of the various sites' main match report:

Daily Mail Online : 357 comment
Guardian.co.uk : 656 comments
Telegraph : 1137 comments
The Sun : 29 comments
Express.co.uk : 0 comments

Web-savvy rugby fans don't read the Express it seems. Even the football-mad Sun motivated 29 people to comment. If the future of journalism is to be online-based and user-content-generated (so-called citizen journalism - cf the CNN iReporter) then the recently relaunched Express.co.uk is hardly on to a winner there.
