This advert is back, and were it not for this post I'd have sworn it was older than two years old.
That was the previous time the advert was brought back - it seems to date back to at least 2019.

Incidentally, it appears Black Lodge Brewery have created a Voodoo Jazz Hat beer in reference to the ad.

Only one advert has entertained me, and it is the "from confusion to clarity" advert from Confused.com.

However, if we're talking about current ads, Daisy by Marc Jacobs has my vote. That's a specific month though, so if we're going to other levels...

What makes them think including a tarantula was a good idea? For people with arachnophobia, just imagine holding that advert in their face and looping that bit. I guarantee you, I would never. Honestly just off-putting.

And its business version...

How does throwing a computer into the water save it? That's like throwing a guy out the window and then the window dissappears and he falls into lava. Do the marketing team know practicality?

That stupid Lynx advert with the dog never ceases to make me snort with laughter.

Remember that ad about growth spurts with a kid on a bike? What was it for? More importantly what the hell did it exist for?

was the the kids' bike hire company? The idea is that it saves you the cost of buying a new bike every time your child outgrows the previous one - just rent one and swap it for a bigger one as and when required. The economics can make sense, but a decent kids' bike does hold its value fairly well - so we did quite well out of buying for our eldest, then handing them down to the younger ones, and selling them when done.

Not strictly in the remit of this thread because I find it bemusing rather than irritating or entertaining, but there's one for Bio Oil doing the rounds at the moment which is literally just their logo on top of some factory footage with some generic music.

Not just on random digital channels either, it's been on some fairly big shows on ITV1.

Literally says nothing at all about the brand or product or what it does. To it's credit, it does stand out when you're fast forwarding through the ads on a recording.

Maybe they need the logo on screen for 30 seconds so you don't misread it as 'big oil", which is what I did for the first 10 seconds.

Their adverts have always tended to be quite minimal in their claims - I presume it's because they can't actually advertise the benefits you supposedly get from using the oil on your skin.

Watching Universal Basic Guys on ITVX, oh dear, the advert is fucking stupid. Why wasn't this a scene in How It's Made? Why does it exist? It's literally the shittiest work (the logo is transparent). Also from the start I thought it was baby oil. They really need to up their transparent game
