Dug around and found the adverts from when they had the phone "vote" to change it back to Coco Pops. The latter must have been the last thing Screaming Lord Sutch appeared in before he killed himself...

The Hull Daily Mail's relaunch could have gone better. They failed to update the logo on their website, and today I find that Motor Mail hasn't changed at all - and has the old logo as part of it's masthead. They also advertised a promotion (they were giving away chocolate, crisps, a keyring and a balloon when you buy the paper from a pop-up stand) using a logo rendered in the wrong font.
Part of the relaunch involves the Saturday TV and Entertainment supplement getting renamed. It was called The Guide, but will now be called Weekend - which appears to be the same name used on several of Local World's other local newspapers.

Stumbled across this today. Can't say I'm a fan. Maybe it's a grower.

What a stupid and utterly pointless change in direction. In what way is a flat, 2D map any more representative of digital mapping than compass points? Why does the logo even need to be representative of digital mapping?

It's a shame they thought they needed to replace it, I thought the previous logo was very recognisable and wouldn't be outdated for a long while - the new one looks like it will date very fast.

Ugh, I hope our design is the one that get's rolled out, and not Spain's. They have red at the top of all of the cans, which would mean you could easily pick up the wrong can, especially as some fridges in shops make it so you can only see the top half of the can. Also, Cherry Coke looks too much like regular Coke.

Funnily enough, I spotted that yesterday too. On its own, I'm not convinced, but I think it works quite nicely on the map covers.

Add to that the gold is not prominent enough on the Caffiene Free variety.
It's fire extinguishers all over again.

I think the Discount UK brand is getting phased out. The Hull branch has closed for a refit and reopens on Friday under a new name, Bargain Buys. The sign was missing today, revealing Woolworths lettering behind it. They were the previous occupants.

The branch closest to me rebranded not long after opening as Discount UK.
