That is one side. I am not one dimensional. This forum, and the other one, is hardly a place for getting to know people or making friends. Therefore no one is nice to anyone and only bitchiness happens. It brings out the worst in people. That is how it works. It's how it's always worked and I can't see it working differently in the near future.

I give as good as I get and I'm sure no one believes half the things I say but all I'm saying is I would prefer to get on with most of you, as I'm sure deep down you all are nice people as well. Obviously some personalities aren't made for others - hence why I find Shaun more annoying than Hyma, a feat I wouldn't have thought humanly possible - but civility is worth a shot, isn't it?

And anyway, even if all of these things I'm saying fall on deaf ears, which they probably sadly will, I - like you guys I'm sure - have a 'real' life to get back to whenever I close this window. You can say all sorts of nasty things in retaliation to that 'you... a life?' etc but I don't really need to prove myself to anyone on here.

It's just nice to come on when bored or having a dull day and chat about things. Obviously with the forums being how they are there are many clashes and problems and a lot of viciousness and mud slinging and well, this really is a random tangent so I'm going to shut up now and basically say I've made a 'step forward', you guys can either step backwards or we can put this behind us.

I'm not that optimistic but at least I tried.

Not at all - likening me to him is possibly the worst insult you could have thrown at me - well done! I know a lot of people dislike me, but I'm not saying "i've done nothing wrong ehehehh boo hoo" - I'm saying yes, people dislike me and I dislike other people. I'm saying I have given as good as I've been given, and possibly overstepped the mark a few times, so I'm not denying my faults. But I'm not hiding from the fact that a lot of others have overstepped the mark themselves. I've also reiterated I'm not some tortoise who sits at his computer waiting for the next message to come up, I have a life and friends and go out etc (yes, I know it sounds like I'm trying to convince myself lol) but ... oh, I've forgotten what I was saying.

Look, like I said, I'm not optimistic that anyone is interested in being civil / getting on well but I thought I'd give it a try. I managed it with Gavin - we had several rows last year but overcame them and I think we are on good terms now. That's the impression I've got anyway - though he hasn't been around much, at least not when I have.

After you said that about Shaun - and you Squarey - I'm inclined not to bother at all actually!

The words lost and cause spring to mind. I'll probably just do you all a favour and leave Metropol for good.
