As I understand it, a forum ban would just stop you posting in Requests or Newsroom or wherever, but a site ban stops you posting in ANY of the forums.
Hey, with all this knowledge, I could be a moderator!

I wouldn't normally wade into these threads anymore but I think a few things need to be clarified.
For starters, Jamez' reference to the 4th mod being rigged is hilarious. I'm surprised it's taken him this long to make the accusation.
For the record James, you were vailiently in second place but still quite well stuffed by the number of votes for MrTomServo. The records are still on the database and considering it's been so long, I don't think they'll be any objections to showing the number of votes.
For the second round:
MrTomServo 54
Jamez 28
Katherine 18
johnnyboy 16
Martin 10
For the first round:

If Jamez had won, I'd have made him 4th mod. If I didn't want the members to make the decision, I'd simply have asked for candidates and made the decision myself! Who knows, it may have even tamed him into not making certain libellious posts.
It's been an intention of mine (as the other mods know) to do a spring clean of inactive, unactivated and annoying members and this is still in the pipeline. It's just a case of time.
There's a million and one things I want to do with the site, including appointing new moderator(s), making it easier for the mods to do their job (some of the features are quite convoluted) and tidying it up but it does take time.
I want to make it clear that targeting members with a witch hunt will not necessarily lead to their eventual banning. If some members could choose not to make an issue of certain others in public, there would maybe be a better perception of the site and threads.
I can't say I give much time of day for anyone making suggestions when using phrases such as 'itsrobot' or 'soderators'. It's playground stuff and for some who seem to have such a desperation for TVF and those running it to 'see the light' and make the changes, they're not helping.

I had a Forum Ban once because I called Chris Rogers a black asylum seeker.

Well, that's the first time I'd seen those results, Asa. Maybe you should have posted them on TV Forum at the time, but never mind!
I was informed by a friend of one of the mods at the time that the vote was rigged! But I was seen as a non-conformist in your eyes, and therefore the mod role went to someone who was, shall we say "more suited".
Anyway, it's all history now, and it's nice to see that Day Zero is upon us!

like the other comments made by jamez, the reason why that comment is so hurtful to rogers is that there is more than a grain of truth in that accusation

Thing is, that comment by me was made 2 years ago - how much longer is Asa & Co. going to hold it against me? IIRC, I apologised both to Asa and CR himself, so what's everyone's problem still.
I've since learned my lesson not to use TVF when drunk!

Things never get forgotten in certain people's eyes, though, Jamez.
I've been a fan of Mrs Malaprop ever since I was at school, yet that last paragraph, above, proves that I'll never be forgiven for originating "itsrobot" or "soderator", even though I've "adjusted" the spelling of most other people's names over the years, with little or no complaint.

I'm still in shock to see I got 1 vote! Quite shocked.

There are nearly ten people that I'm shocked to even see on that list.

How come the Boston Fruitcake beat me twice in the two rounds?
Is there something wrong with you people?
