I'm actually very courteous, unless you're a tailgator. I've never had an accident ( caused loads, but hey that wasn't my fault, they should have been driving with due care and attention )

Well you should be grateful that their entire business is contributing to global warming which effects non-smokers too! I'm pleased to hear your pocket money is well spent.

there are a lot better accusations you could level at that dreadful company than that. their bizzare poll to try and keep section 28, their habbit of trying to destroy all competition by monging up the bus timetables so they overlap with everyone elses and their James Martinesq view of northerners for example.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a smoking fan. But I am suffering because of this stupid ban.

I used to sit in the back of a van with one window, blocked in by six people, who smoked and I can honestly say I never needed my inhaler throughout any of those journeys. I am not saying it was fantastic for my health or that I even enjoyed the experience but it never hindered my breathing. Also I used to live with 3 cats and that never bothered me after I grew used to it.

However now, people don't smoke around me at all as I am not a smoker and I can't breathe!
If we go out socially there's no smoking in pubs, break rooms, bus/train stations and stops.

I never had chronic asthma before. Ok, I needed an inhaler occassionally because it goes hand in hand with hayfever. But now I need it all the time. I can bearly breathe at all now and I am expected to pay £6.85 x 2 not by choice but to stay alive?? (1 blue and 1 brown).

Any little thing will set me off. On holiday I had an asthma attack because the hotel we stayed in had a cat!

You know, I'm thinking of taking up smoking so I can breathe, yes I know you will point out that it is more expensive than buying two inhalers each time but I also wouldn't have to book and wait for an appointment that was mutually pleasing for everyone during a working week, make sure I also don't need steriods (another £6.85) and then find the time to pick the bloody things up. Then again the charges may even out! Plus I'm guessing my lungs will get used to the smoke again and it will eventually get easier to breathe, whereas these inhalers work until you need to cough then its another lot of uncomfortable tight chested wheezing till it is used again.

I would strongly advise against that! I think the smoking ban and your sudden breathing problems could be more a coincidence that actually related.

Perhaps your condition has changed and you need a different type of inhaler or a nebulizer. That would be far better than taking up a habit which many people wish they never had.
