The new logo is slowly creeping in, some Cake Shop labels have a new design, as does most of the company's own paperwork, but in the latter case the only thing which has changed there is the logo.

Same with ours in Milton Keynes. It had all entertainment, TVs and stuff but was gone when changed to Morrisons.

I was totally impressed though when it converted a few years ago to Morrisons. The black & yellow seemed really stylish.

Familiarity would have been retained throughout the country then.
This is what I don't understand, Something like M&S used to have with StMichael.

However, a huge part of the problem lies with the fact that Safeway's own-branded products were classy but Morrisons' are crap.

Of course it would have probably been better to ditch Morrisons and roll Safeway out across the group but Sir Ken's such a tosspot he'd never do such a thing.

Any particular problem with Morrisons out of interest? Perhaps something to do with who they aimed their products at?

So I think this may turn out to be a bit of a half-arsed rebrand. This picture is apparently of one of their new stores. As you can see, it has the new logo on the towers, but still has the old logo on the main sign. If they're going to actually bother to change the logo, at least change all the signage, especially on a brand new store.

The same as you lot it seems!

My main gripe is that a lot of their own-brand stuff is just not very good in terms of quality. Safeway used to have a very nice "real lemonade" for example, which was very "natural" and "organic" in its ingredients - the replacement "Morrisons Cloudy Lemonade" is now chockfull of E Numbers. Many of their foods contain a high salt content than the old Safeway equivalent, etc.

I bought a Microwave Curry from them a while back but couldn't eat it as the best I could describe it as is slop.

This new logo of theirs... I don't know what it is, but it just doesn't look right.

That store opened on Monday.

Up until about three weeks ago, it had all OLD style signage. Quite why that was ever put up, only to be replaced with (at least SOME) new stuff, I have no clue...

I'm not sure where to start with how wrong your choice of shopping is there.

As a single man with seemingly ooddles of time on your hands you should've prepared and cooked your own food rather than complain about the "slop" from a 2-minute microwave sample Morrisons had on sale for £1.50

It's convienience.

I've bought microwave meals from other shops and they taste a hell of a lot better.
