as someone who likes cooking but not meal planning, researching recipes or shopping, I quite like them now and again just to mix things up a bit, and to save having to get a bunch of ingredients you wouldn't otherwise be using. I don't think we've ever paid full price for one, mind.

What I probably should get back into is getting a fruit & veg box delivery. You do need to be a bit disciplined in using it otherwise you end up with a pile of carrots mouldering away at the bottom of the fridge, but they can be good for forcing you to be a bit inventive. Plus there's the whole eating seasonally thing which is better for farmers and the planet and all that.

We've recently moved right across the road from a Sainsbury's Local, which is particularly handy for when you're in need of a last-minute ingredient, and a somewhat wider range than our old corner shop.
