The only private ticket I've ever paid was to the university as they won't give you you degree if you have a debt to them. Nice little trick that one.
Plus it was only £12.

That's what I thought (with their oddly named "City Development" lorry), but the link suggests they clamp your car, give you a day to pay a lower fine and get it unclamped. If you don't, they'll then come and take it.Gavin Scott wrote:They just lift the car up and drop it off in Leith, don't they?
Reading between the lines, I think this is probably more aimed at constant offenders who fail to buy a permit for Controlled Parking Zones, so it'll spook them when they go outside their flat and see they can no longer just ignore the PCNs and drive away.
Parking in the wrong place during Special Events and double-yellow offences would result in an instant lift up on the lorry, even when the 'event' is only gully cleaning.
