Everyone money is on milliband.

Ed balls has far to small maj to be stable, Alan johnston does not have that same churm. Daivd bother will get a nice job if he let his bother get top job.

The only person that REALLY could have a go is one Scottish MP: Douglas Alexander, Brother of Wendy Alexander

i feel a little bit guilty for voting lib dem now. i agonised at the ballot box but in all my conscience, i could not vote for the labour candidate... for this reason:

but there was no way the incumbent tory MP would be going anywhere anyway (and to be fair, many people say he's a good constituency MP).

democracy, eh?

I miss Gordon already. Excellent speech, very moving. Sarah Brown looked so sad, it must be heartbreaking for them both. I hope that they will both have a public presence in the future.

I shall also miss Dimblebot. I really think he should be Metropol's official, permanent mascot and twitterer.

Does anyone know if Andy Burnham will throw his hat into the ring?

Not a problem - they could always move him to stand for an ultra-safe seat when the next election comes.
At least, I think they could...

Which one? Or did you mean "a Milliband"?
