Well that's what I've been TRYING to find out. At any rate my polling card is suspiciously wide and short :)

I gave up after quite a long time and no success. Is that information really not available yet or is it so eclipsed by the national ones that no-one bothered to publish it?
I believe nominations have closed for the local government elections but the deadline of issuing a notice for the election - when the official list of candidates isn't until next Tuesday (27th April) so you might be waiting for a little while yet.

Ben Says No to a Tax on Horses!
He's got Brekkie's vote then.

I wonder why he ditched the big pic of him and Gordon Brown, as well as replacing Harriet with another Miliband, one who looks suspiciously like Richard McCourt (aka Dick from Dick & Dom)

Yes I noticed that one too, odd that such a thing has passed me by.

Well all this hoopla in Doncaster can't be helping the English Democrats.

My god, how bad is his site? Links that aren't clickable, and the whole thing looks like it's been done in word or powerpoint in about 5 minutes.

Believe it or not, it's actually one of his better efforts.

Plus the interview that their excuse for a mayor did with Radio Sheffield's Toby Foster on the day after his election (when Toby went through his manifesto and pointed out that much of it would be illegal to implement) has been nominated for a Sony Award. http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/sheffield/h ... 611170.stm

I my area, one of the parliamentary candidates is a sitting councillor and is also up for re-election to the council. (This caused a minor skirmish because she was able to put up posters with her name on before nominations for the Parliamentary election closed because they were allowed for the council election.)

But what happens if she wins both elections?
  • She becomes both MP and Councillor?
  • She becomes the MP and the second placed candidate in the local election becomes councillor?
  • She becomes the MP and there is a by-election for the councillor?
  • Something else?
