As an avid Twitter user I feel like I should add my points to this debacle.
I follow the guy who tweeted Mr. Fry ( @brumplum ) - he is a lovely guy.
All he said was that Mr. Fry's tweets were sometimes a little boring - but that he still loved and respected the guy. Something which is actually completely justified.
Just why this provoked such a backlash I'll never understand - but I hate the way the general public feel the need to suck up to a celebrity. Surely this is the age of celebrity fascination gone mad?! @brumplum had people sending him death threats and calling him everything under the sun - I mean seriously -WTF??
As usual it was completely blown out of all proportion, just as the Dannii Minogue calling Danyl a dirty gay live on X Factor story. :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll: :roll:
