Can you really imagine something like Victoria Derbyshire's programme, as good as it is, being shunted to Radio 4? :?

The 2 stations are completely different formats... they're both 'speech' and both have some bulletins but that's as far as the similarity goes

I listen to a lot of Five Live but it irritates the hell out of me when they drop all programmes for sports events like Wimbledon and Golf.

You see this is part of a deeper issue that I've raised before.

You don't associate news and recipes. So why associate news and sport. Sport is not news.

So yes, I'd be very happy to see news and sport separated in some way.
