I don't do Valentines. I do romance when i wanna do romance. Not when Clintons and Interflota tell me to.
I will perform an act of kindness and have a tube of Voltarol on hand for my postie.

Well, I've not had a beer in over 2 weeks, seems like the perfect time to get back on it.

Why thank you Gavin... it's been pretty easy to give up the beer as I've been on medication for a while, but I can't wait for my first pint of 6X in a fortnight.

Personal question... why do you want to "get back on it?" I just don't understand cos it would make me feel bloody awful. Worst bit is that waking up a couple of hours after you've had a bit too much and the nauseous feeling that comes with it, the headaches, the tiredness. Oh and the next morning, and the hangover that you think has gone, re-occurring an hour later, as if to sneak back up on you. And the amount of money spent. Oh and beer makes you fat. I just can't deal with it.

I don't really feel nauseous after a session on the beer. I know how to handle my drink, unlike some people I know. I only drink what I can manage.

That's probably true in a sense - but what you believe you can cope with is probably way more than your body can actually deal with.

Not that I want to lecture - but been there, done that. When I stopped drinking completely (in the mid 90s), it was part of the reason I went from 28 stone to 14 stone. No fooling. I have the pics to prove it.

Food for thought.
