I get it all the time on Support when the HMRC give wrong advice (obviously its our fault and the HM Government are never wrong) or their systems goes titsup.

In the interests of fairness and balance, I know of a colleague held "personally responsible" by a BBC bod in one of the Scottish islands because a radio link went down during severe weather. He did try to pass their concern to our third party but Mother Nature didn't want to know.

There was once a BBC controller who, the day after a main transmitter was struck by lightning causing a fault which took a few hours to repair, demanded that this never happen again.

Woolworth's down here in Brighton closed today and they were selling the Lotto terminal off for £1! I thought that these were owned by Camelot and NOT for resale? I did buy the scatch-card stand though - brilliant little lock boxes and with Instants duds in! Good old Woolies!
