ebay selling fees are changing in September. They're changing the listing fees so that instead of the charge depending on the starting price (eg. under £1 = 10p) they're now having a flat rate of 40p. Whilst it benefits the few who had high starting prices it's presumably done due to so many starting selling auctions at 99p.

Only really seems to affect people if they use Buy It Now listings, auctions seem to be staying where they were.

eBay would have you believe that bank transfers just aren't as 'safe' as PayPal - hence their desire to foist the payment system onto everyone.

And I would be careful Gavin explicitly advising your customers not to use PayPal - eBay hates that sort of thing, and will tend to delete listings and accounts for it. I believe in the UK you are now required to have PayPal as a payment option, and there's nothing you can do about it (if you choose to continue using eBay).
