Don't get me wrong, I like Lamarr, and thought he was much better on Shooting Stars than Will Self was, but on Buzzcocks he seemed to do nothing but make snide comments about pop stars, and not do much actual hosting.

Maybe I'm just partial to Lamarr's style of not always being nice to guests and being very funny because he didn't host it and just did his own thing because that's just who Mark is and has been for some time. Still have odd faint memories of him being cajoled into punching a clown on a OB during Big Breakfast but him refusing...

Amstell's great but it's a different beast to what it was before him and I'm subjectively wrong in feeling that what Buzzcocks is now is only so much like it used to be in it's headier days.
