I would consider the length of any journey through heavy traffic to be totally unacceptable. In view of the revenue from fuel duty and car tax I would expect the Government to spend the income on improving the road network to avoid such occurences in the first place.AJ wrote:Of course I'm not, and neither are you. Narrowing the city centre roads and placing unnecessary speed-bumps (as they have a predilection for in Plymouth) simply means the cars spend longer on the roads to complete their journey. Many of those who previously travelled 5 miles into the city centre to shop now drive 20 miles to the out-of-town superstore because it's quicker and they can park!
