First and second singles I bought! He had a nice if unintelligible philosophy on life. A more recent shameful pleasure of mine would be Scooter, there's no musical value to them at all but it makes me happy. I don't mind admitting I really like The Pipettes, but that does my manliness points no good :|

Indeed he did, I bought the Scatman John album from a charity shop, and it's on my Ipod right now. It's a shame he's no longer with us though.

Not sure if i'm ashamed or proud of owning this. Part of me loves it because its so ahead of its time yet a part of me hates it for being cheesy.

I love that tune, one of the best from '79, among the likes of Tubeway Army "Are 'Friends' Electric?", Gary Numan "Cars", Ian Dury "Hit Me with your Rhythm Stick", Blondie "Dreaming", Flying Lizards "Money", the Police "Walking on the Moon", Chic "I Want Your Love", Amii Stewart "Knock on Wood", ABBA "Gimme Gimme Gimme", Lene Lovich "Lucky Number", Funkadelic "One Nation Under a Groove", the Undertones "Here Comes the Summer", Patrick Hernandez "Born to be Alive"... I even think Cliff Richard's "We Don't Talk Anymore" (his best single) from the same year was just as great.

Nostalgia. I nicked my brothers Lovitch single and when he eventually found it it was a bit sticky where i'd spilt Orange squash all over it. It was about the same time he found his Banana splits by the dickies. It had a tea stain onnit. Both records were planted in my room by a still unknown source.

Nah, they inject it directly into their veins. Drinking with the mouth is so vulgar.
