How soon before you die would this be - perhaps two or three minutes before?
Better to die in a big flash and bang, than to rot away in a nursing home, smelling of piss and riddled with cancer and in torturous pain.
It is possible to die of cancer in a clean bed with dignity and be surrounded by your loved ones.
Sometimes what you write makes me very angry.

That's possibly the most dispicable statement anyone has made on this forum.

Well I agree with Jamez - it's probably far better to die instantly than to "rot away" as described. In the same way as it's perhaps better to die instantly from red bus disease than it is to be slowly fed into a very large pencil sharpener.
Obviously it's very unlikely the second instance is going to happen, but it's still possible. And from the way it's written, the only inference that it's a daily occurance is in the eyes of the beholder.
Jamez could have worded it alot better, but yes, i am also with the, i'd rather go out with a bang than fade away group. I'd also be for euthenasia providing every loop hole for dubious unscrupulous relatives was tighter than a nuns nether regions. We wouldn't want these sorts getting away with murder.

No silly head. Dubious unscrupulous relatives. Do you have of them them sorts lurking in your family? I've always been a bit concerned about one of my cousins. She's never liked me. I'd hate it if by some nightmare twist of fate she ever had to be my carer for some terminal illnes i hope i never get.

I now take Wednesday afternoons off and let part of my salon out to a someone who does feet stuff. All the oldies in the village come in for her to cut nails and see to their corns. I have somone manning my side of things on the shop floor and in about an hour i'm meeting up with someone to chat about letting another part of my salon to do indian head massage and at 6.30 chat to someone else about doing manicures stuff over a pub lunch. In between mingling between my geeky forums i'm gonna be browsing sunbeds.

Tell Jamez being old isn't all doom, gloom, mucus and slow painful death!

Quite right - as well as the above you also get £100/year towards your heating. So it's not all bad.
and the free tv license! I wonder how confused aged Daily Mail readers must feel after being told what to think about it.

Well yes it is all go, go, go, but i try to do it at a leisurely pace.
You can come in for that tenner session ( musn't forget the tip boyo) whenever you're passing. Just give me some forewarning. If you pop by lunchtime -ish i'll do you a freebie hairdo if you buy me a pub nosh up. I'll take ya to the bestest ever pub that does the bestest ever grub.
