Yeah, James Martin, you can't live with him, you can't live with him. Like him or hate him, you'd be mad not to hate him.

And people can't seem to stop talking about him. If you really want to lay the JM ghost to rest, end your obsession with him. It only massages his ego and makes him wnat to return all the more, to defend himself.

I have been an advocate of democracy on TVF for a while now... (being a politics researcher though you might expect this) but I accept that Asa has the right to run it how he wishes.

I agree with many of the posts:-
Mock forum is a 'secret forum' for members of 1 year and above only, possibly the same for 'requests' also.
Newsroom and TVF are re-merged (although there are some advantages to the new system).
Charlie Wells (aka 'whoever he might really be') is replaced with Gavin.
A democratic election takes place for another moderator, but Asa does have a veto if he so chooses.
The colour system should remain as it is, but perhaps a refresh would be nice.
A special moderator is appointed to look after the interests of members in their first 4 weeks of membership, for example spotting trolls, and also ensuring that new members aren't 'bullied' just because of their post count, and silly conspiracy theories.

Ronnie Rowlands wrote:Why should every member from 2001 be a moderator? You don't need that many! Although I agree about Charlie Wells, Isonstine and Itsrobert are fine as moderators, and we don't need an overrunn of staff, that can only cause mod wars.
It's called sarcasm

Is laughing at your own jokes frowned upon too?
