Argos catalogues. They're now about twice the thickness they were back in the early 1980s. Consequently they're now really heavy to carry home from the shop.

I assumed that was the reason he liked Argos, it must be like heaven for Tumbler! Everything categorised and coded and a great big index.

I imagine Tumble Dryer found his spouse in a catalogue somewhere, although I doubt it was the "Homes & Garden" section of the one Agros issue.

You can just picture the ceremony now, taking place under special licence at the Office of National Statistics:
