It's not the case actually. It's a popular misconception put about by able bodied people.

Unfortunate but true.

It's proven by James Martin. He's clearly been born without a multitude of senses: nuance, timing, style, the list goes on! His sense of humour, however, certainly doesn't make up for this.

I thought humour was the one he was lacking entirely

Nah, he wouldn't keep making "jokes" if he didn't have *something* there. It's just really really awful. A bit like Hitler's art.

perhaps I am being obtuse here, but isn't "music for the deaf" something of a lost cause, a little like signing on BBC specifically for the blind?
As people have pointed out, there any many ways that music and rhythm can enhance the life of deaf people. And don't forget that 'deafness' can actually cover quite a range of hearing loss from total to a fair bit less.
My sister runs a charity, no one has sponsored her for an OBE, MBE etc and she works tirelessly 18 hours a day. Maybe I will sponsor her myself if I thought she could even get the time off to go and collect it.
I'm not exactly sure how someone gets put forward for an OBE etc, but I certainly feel that anyone who works that tirelessly for a charity supporting others should be eligible.

ROFL!! JM is probably penning his own 'Mein Kampf' right now. 300 Pages of how the world is ganging up on him, how much he hates "coons", "fags" and girls that won't sleep with him.

It's no wonder he likes the BNP (well the men of the BNP), they're the only bunch of people that fit that demographic!
