I know a lady who's got a tattoo of a shell at the top of her thigh. It's really weird - if you put your ear to it, you can smell the sea.

I think everyone's missing the point here.

You're wanting a 'Magic Eye' tattoo?

Seriously?

Even in 1994 when Magic Eye pictures were popular for about six weeks they were shit.

Go for something timeless like a portrait of Mr Harvey.

No not really! It's quite a good idea though. Well it would be but the thought of strangers staring at me for ages would rather unnerve me.

I already have a Mr Nick tattoo on my arse, well a santa claus but it's the same thing isn't it?!

I do really want another tattoo. Not sure what to get yet though. I'm actually toying between a unicorn or Angel at the back of my neck. Or a daisy chain on my ankle or small stars on my wrist. Or even a bird pulling a worm out of my belly button.

I wholeheartedly agree there. No way on Earth would I ever have one. I think they look silly really.

Why do people have them? Just to show off when they are young, that's all it is. Some people who get tattooed want their tattoos removed by laser in later life (i.e. when they are older and wiser, and perhaps regret having the tattoo in the first place). Fair enough if they pay to have it removed by laser. There have been cases though of people expecting to have it removed by laser on the NHS. What a waste of NHS money that could be used to treat patients who are ill.

My advice, don't have a tattoo in the first place, then you won't put yourself in the situation of wanting it removed 20 or 30 years later.[/b]

Although I'm not a fan of tattoos myself, This one does sound quite imaginative, makes a change from the usual "roses" or "Mum" tattoos that you always see in west Essex
